The MLHS Co-op team recently partook in the Woodland Conference Championships. They beat 3 conference teams, which might sound like a large accomplishment, until you realize they did so with just 8 swimmers total!
Alaina May (LCL) came in 11th in the 100 Free, with a 1:01.31 earning the team 6 points and Chloe Beckman (LCL) came in 13th with at 27.39 in the 50 free, earning the team 4 points. Also finishing in the top 16 were two of our relays. The 200 Medley Relay of May, Maya Hewitt (LCL), Beckman, and Laura Quigley (Martin Luther) took 14th, scoring 6 points. And most importantly, the 400 Free Relay of May, Hewitt, Quigley, and Beckman chased down West Allis to come in 11th, scoring 12 points and breaking the standing Milwaukee Lutheran record with at 4:10.49. Alaina May brought in 10.5 points to become the Conference Meet MVP for the team.
This is an incredibly competitive conference for our small team, and to have finished so strong is a testament to their hard work and effort all season.
Great Job Ladies!!!

Great job to all the girls!
The combined Lutheran Schools Girls Swim Co-op put up a great fight last night against the South Milwaukee Rockets. Despite being half the size of their team, we held them to less than 100 points, and we put up 62 points in our Varsity swims.
Chloe Beckman (LCL), Alaina May (LCL), and Laura Quigley (Martin Luther), led the team in scoring with 15, 13, and 12 points respectively earned by each swimmer.
Laura Quigley took 1st in the 200 Free and 2nd on the 100 free. Alaina May took 2nd in the 200 Free and first in the 100 Free. Chloe Beckman took 1st in both her individual events: the 50 Free and the 100 Breaststroke.
All three girls were on the 400 Freestyle relay in which Chloe Beckman anchored a nail-biter where she chased down the Rockets' final swimmer to edge out a .81 second victory in the final relay of the night.
It was a pretty exciting night, and the whole team swam really well!
Great Job Ladies!
